“Thank you so much for the contributions that you make to all of us getting our lives back on track in order to re-enter the communities of our choice. There has never been a time that I have needed help, whereas, you have not offered a resolve. You have extended your hand to provide those things that you see that will benefit me, making sure that I have training and know how to negotiate obstacles. Most time you provide that assistance before I even know that I need it. Thank you so much. You are loved and appreciated”. David E. B.
“my state of mind was that my life was over. The only future was waiting to be put in the gas chamber. In 1977, I came off death row.
When I came out of prison it was like the outside had changed dramatically. The PREP program brought me to Clear Skies Ranch. They helped me obtain all my documents and transported me to medical visits. Taking care of some of the animals has been a learning experience. It is a positive effect that has stayed with me”. They know the parole agents well, they know the people at Project Rebound, they know the people at Department of Rehabilitation, they know people at Mass Liberation, and their network grows larger and stronger each day.” Derek F.
” This place is great. Who could have imagined one minute I’d be in a 6×10 foot cell to now being on a large piece of property with a horse, donkey, goats, chickens, lots of dogs. The food is great. I have had swordfish, halibut, prime ribs, steak and chicken. I have been able to accomplish so much in 4 months. Before leaving prison I made a one year plan of which I am 90% finished with. For those who are still trying to get out, don’t give up, ask for help. There are a lot of good people out here just waiting to help. You are never alone in your battle to overcome.
There are transitional houses out here, then there is Clear Skies Ranch. It is the cadillac of all places. They run a tight ship for those who want to truly succeed”. Ray T.
